Privacy policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

The short version

Who we are

Fruitfall is made and published by Liron Abolnik, an individual based in Israel, who is responsible for the processing described here (the “controller”). Contact: abolnikliron@gmail.com.

This policy covers the web game at fruitfall.pages.dev and any domain it moves to. If Fruitfall is released in the App Store or Google Play, that version will have its own privacy notice.

What is saved in your browser

To let you continue where you left off, the game saves in your browser’s local storage: your progress (levels, puzzles, stamps, best scores), your settings, saved rounds, a random install code and a private play log (for example “round started”, “level cleared”). This stays on your device. We cannot see it unless you choose to send us your export file. Clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes it.

Anonymous play stats (only with your consent)

The first time you open the game we ask whether you agree to share play stats. If you say No thanks, nothing is loaded from Google and nothing is sent. If you say Yes, the game loads Google Analytics 4 and sends:

We never send your name, email, typed text or board contents. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, so this data is not used to show you ads.

Why: to understand which parts of the game people enjoy, where new players get stuck, and what to improve. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings › Privacy. Withdrawing deletes the Google Analytics cookies on this site and stops all sending.

Cookies used only after consent:

NameSet byPurposeKept for
_gaGoogle AnalyticsTells visits from the same browser apart, with a random number2 years
_ga_<ID>Google AnalyticsKeeps the current visit together2 years

Google keeps the event data for 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Google acts as our service provider (processor); see Google’s privacy policy and how Google Analytics safeguards data.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. We do not use these logs to identify you. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Transfers outside Israel and the EU

Google and Cloudflare may process data in the United States and other countries. Both take part in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and use the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for transfers.

Children

Fruitfall is a family-friendly game for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 16 (or under the age of digital consent where you live), please ask a parent or guardian before saying yes to play stats. Parents can contact us and we will delete what we can link to their child.

Your rights

Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law and, where it applies to you, the EU and UK GDPR, you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data about you, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Because we do not ask for your name, we usually cannot link analytics data to you; the simplest choice is to switch play stats off in Settings › Privacy and clear this site’s data in your browser. Write to abolnikliron@gmail.com for anything else. We will reply within 30 days.

You may also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or, in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS with a strict content security policy, so it can load scripts only from itself and, after your consent, from Google Analytics.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. If we start collecting something new we will ask you again in the game before doing so.
